The best fights are not simply those that showcase good choreography, but also beliefs must clash and be represented. This is also the core of Civil War, which is nowhere better captured than in the final fight of the film.
Iron Man has rarely fought so fiercely and seriously. He puts everything he has on the line, but on the other side stands the Winter Soldier, who fights much more brutally than Captain America. The fight develops beautifully vertically due to the scenery, and Tony’s abilities have never appeared so physical as they did there.
But no matter how fiercely Tony fights, he has no chance against the trained soldiers who face off together. The combination of the two at the end in front of the mountain of snow is so well choreographed that the MCU has never been able to replicate it since.
Particularly noteworthy: The fight is not only spectacular in terms of fighting; Tony also truly evokes sympathy because he has to fight against one of his friends.
