Torghast, the Tower of the Damned, has received a new wing: the Twisting Corridors. This is actually considered a “challenge mode” and only rewards cosmetics. However, some players in World of Warcraft have discovered that there are even certain Legendary items to be obtained here.
What is there in the Corridors? Players have now figured out that in the Twisting Corridors, there are not only interesting cinematics to be found, but also useful items.
Specifically, there are legendary effects that you need to craft Legendaries. In the new wing, all Legendaries can drop that you can otherwise only get from the other wings.
These other wings rotate weekly, and if someone wants a specific effect, they previously had to wait. Among them are some of the best legendary effects for certain classes. However, in the Twisting Corridors, this can happen at any time.
How do I get these effects? According to players, you must complete the new wing in Torghast at least at level 3. You also need the right boss in your run, so a bit of luck is required.
The Twisting Corridors consist of three sets of random other wings. If your Legendary drops in one of these wings and appears in the Corridors, you have a chance at the effect.
The new wing is indeed useful
Actually, the wing serves as a “challenge mode” for Torghast. You should be able to prove how good you really are – which is why the runs are longer and quite a bit harder than regular ones.
The rewards are therefore mainly cosmetic, such as a mount for the Maw. Soul Ash is not available in the Corridors. However, now apparently the effects that you might otherwise have to wait for. The Corridors are thus more useful than many players initially thought.
Otherwise, the Twisting Corridors mainly serve the fun of it. Through a total of 18 layers, players have the opportunity to play even crazier builds. It takes longer, but that’s exactly what makes it appealing – at least according to MeinMMO author Benedict Grothaus.
He believes that Torghast is finally as good as it should be. And in the future, it will even get better.
