In Pokémon GO there are 4 new quests to solve. These reward you with rare plant Pokémon and also offer other great benefits.
These are the quests: The Plant Event in Pokémon GO is ongoing and gives players 4 new field research tasks. They are suitable for the plant type.
The quests are special because they bring you Pokémon that are rarely seen in other field research tasks.
These are the new quests
At first glance, the 4 quests may not seem very special, but if you look closely, especially 3 of the quests are very useful:
- Catch 3 Bulbasaur or Chikorita
- Reward: Encounter with a Venusaur
- Evolve 2 plant Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Tangela
- Evolve 5 plant Pokémon
- Reward: Encounter with a Venusaur
- Catch 10 plant Pokémon
- Reward: 1000 Stardust
That’s why the quests are so good: You get useful Pokémon like Venusaur and Tangela from the field research, and Chelast will also be useful in the future.
We will go through the research with you.
Catch 3 Bulbasaur or Chikorita: Let’s start with the seemingly worst quest. You get Chelast as a reward, a Pokémon that is relatively common.
Chelast could become really interesting in the future. If its evolution, Chelterrar, can learn the move Flora Statue during a potential Community Day, it will be very useful. So it’s not a bad idea to start collecting good Chelast now.
Evolve 2 plant Pokémon: In this field research, you will receive Tangela. The Pokémon is hardly ever found in the wild and is only very rarely included in eggs.
Many players may be missing candies for the evolution. You also have a good chance of getting a Tangela with very good IVs. After all, the IVs of Pokémon from quests are generally very good.
You can also find Tangela in the current raids:
Evolve 5 plant Pokémon: When you have evolved 5 plant Pokémon, you will immediately receive a Venusaur. After the Community Day with Bulbasaur, Venusaur may not seem special to some players anymore, but encountering such a Pokémon like this is still very cool.
Furthermore, Venusaur is a solid plant attacker. Even without the Community Day move Flora Statue, you can collect numerous Bulbasaur candies, as the catch with a Pinap Berry gives you 20 candies.
Catch 10 plant Pokémon: This quest may be the highlight. Currently, plant Pokémon can be found everywhere, and thanks to the quest, you also get an extra 1000 Stardust.
You essentially double your Stardust when catching, as a single plant Pokémon without bonuses gives you 100 dust. If you catch 10, you get 1000 Stardust and then extra dust from the quest.
The plant event also brings 2 new Shinys. These are something very special:
