Sony has heavily revamped its user interface on the PS5. Included is an expanded profile that finally shows you how many hours you’ve played within the PlayStation Networks.
Sony has now shown the interface of the PS5. This was referred to by Sony as the “next generation user experience” and is intended to make your gaming experience on the PS5 more entertaining, personal, and social.
This also fits another feature that you can utilize on the PlayStation 5. With the new system, there is also an improved and expanded player profile.
This shows you, for example, how many hours you have spent in individual games – even on the PS4.
Displaying PS4 Playtime Previously Required Tricks
Previously, it wasn’t so easy to have your playtime displayed. Anyone who wanted to find out their playtime on the PS4 had to take a detour through other programs or solutions. However, this should now be a thing of the past with the expanded profile of the PlayStation 5.
What is displayed at all? The new feature shows:
- When you last played the game
- How many hours you have played in total.
What is particularly cool about it? The playtime is not counted only when you start playing on the PlayStation 5. Because your profile on the PS5 also shows you how many hours of your life you’ve already spent gaming on the PlayStation 4. Then you’ll finally know how many hundreds of hours Destiny 2 you’ve played in recent years – whether you want to or not.

In the PS5 subreddit, users discussed the new profile function. And many are taking the whole thing with humor. Users write:
