CoD Vanguard has been struggling with some serious and strange bugs since release. On reddit, a user shared a clip showing the curious effects of a motorcycle explosion. It resembles the best scene from a Hollywood hit. MeinMMO tells you what it’s all about.
A clip is currently making the rounds in the CoD Vanguard subreddit, where a player suddenly stands on a wall and can shoot at their opponents from there.
What was once a feature in the sci-fi installments of Call of Duty is completely out of place in the World War setting of CoD Vanguard. This “Wall Run” was a result of a bug that turns a player into Spider-Man due to a motorcycle explosion.
Player sticks to the wall like Spider-Man thanks to bug, sees the world from a curious angle
A player of CoD Vanguard stands next to a motorcycle and shoots at it, causing it to explode. However, the character does not die as expected. Instead, something absurd happens, as the player sticks to the nearby wall like Spider-Man, seeing the world from a whole new angle:
How does this bug happen? Anyone who has played Call of Duty may have noticed that the angle of the viewport tilts slightly when you die. This happens here too – but the player does not die.
Instead, at the moment they should die, they are transported alive to a nearby wall. They stick to it like a fly and can continue playing from a curious 90-degree angle.
It looks cool and is reminiscent of perhaps the best scene from the Hollywood hit Inception featuring Leonardo DiCaprio:
But in practice, this bug is extremely annoying. It has already appeared in the zombie game mode in CoD Black Ops Cold War, with the same causes. It can even become worse than in the clip. A reddit user explains how annoying this can be:
It can deviate by only 15°, but the more you move or move the mouse, the more tilted the view angle becomes. At first, it may be fun and amusing, but a deviation of 90° is just terrible. Even worse is when the view angle flips by 180°.
The only way to fix this without quitting the game is to enter or exit a vehicle.
The player from reddit mentioned that he did not play sober in this match. Therefore, his ability to shoot accurately was not really the focus. A pro with tactics like “shoot at a motorcycle next to me for no reason to make it explode” probably wouldn’t be successful anyway.
