On March 17, 2021, the new Patch 11.6 for Teamfight Tactics was released. We at MeinMMO reveal to you what new features it brought and what the currently best champion combos in the game are.
What has changed with Patch 11.6? The new update mainly brought buffs for rarely used characters like Diana, Katarina, or Garen. Nerfs occurred for Lulu, Olaf, and Tristana.
Overall, the fundamental meta does not change much. Only builds around Olaf as a carry have lost a bit. However, Tryndamere and Samira offset this nicely among the bruisers. Overall, the Kayle build moves up a bit in the tier list.

Legendaries
Which chosen one does the combo need? This combo does not need a chosen one. The goal is to get as many individually strong units on the field as possible in the late game.
Which champions are used?
- Shen – Adept/Ninja/Mystic
- Yone – Adept/Exiled
- Zilean – Cultist/Mystic
- Swain – Dragon Soul/Manipulator
- Samira – Daredevil/Sniper/Brute
- Sett – The Boss/Brawler
- Azir – Warlord/Emperor/Guardian
- Morgana – Enlightened/Manipulator
- Lee Sin – Divine/Duelist or optionally Ornn for the items
These attributes are used by the combo:
- 2 Adepts
- 2 Mystics
- 2 Manipulators
Which items does the combo need? In this combo, Samira and Yone are the important units.
- Samira – Last Breath, Guardian Angel, Guinsoo’s Rageblade
- Yone – Blue Buff, Hextech Gunblade, Hand of Justice
How does the early game go? You play something completely different in the early game and can play Warlords, frontliners, Zed, and pretty much everything else.
What is the gold plan? In this combo, it’s all about having a lot of gold and getting to level 8 and later 9 as quickly as possible. The legendary units will win the game for you in the end due to their strength.
Kayle and her executioners
Which chosen one does the combo need? This combo can be played with a flexible chosen one, but an executioner significantly strengthens the team. Ideally, you want Kayle as the executioner, but Kayle as divine also works.
Which champions are used?
- Kayle – Divine/Executioner
- Kindred – Spirit/Executioner
- Xayah – Ancient Wood/Executioner/Guardian
- Yuumi – Mystic/Spirit
- Shen – Adept/Ninja/Mystic
- Irelia – Adept/Divine/Enlightened
- Yone – Adept/Exiled
- Azir – Warlord/Emperor/Guardian
- Alternatively, Lee Sin – Divine/Duelist as the 9th unit or as a substitute for Azir when you get Kayle as divine chosen one.
These attributes are used by the combo:
- 4 Executioners
- 3 Adepts
- 2 Mystics
- 2 Spirits

Which items does the combo need? The combo focuses on Kayle as a carry in both cases:
- Kayle – Rapid Firecannon, Guinsoo’s Rageblade, Mercury
- Kindred – Zeke’s Herald, Chalice of Power
- Yone – Blue Buff, Warmog’s Armor
How does the early game go? In the early game, ideally, you play a completely different combo that harmonizes well with your items. Here, snipers, frontliners, or duelists are recommended.
What is the gold plan? You save up to 50 gold and level quickly to 8. Only there can you fully activate your combo and find Kayle as a chosen one.
Brutes
Which chosen one does the combo need? The team works best with a brute as a chosen one. However, it is also quite flexible, so other chosen ones can work as well.
Which champions are used? With a chosen brute, you play:

Which items does the combo need? The combo focuses on Kennen as a carry.
- Kennen – Guardian Angel, Morellonomicon, Ionic Spark
- Xayah – Hand of Justice, Hand of Justice, Statikk’s Shard
How does the early game go? In the early game, you can directly start with a combo of 2 – 4 guardians and 3 ancient woods. Alternatively, snipers also work well with the guardians.
What is the gold plan? You save up to 50 gold and from there, there are two paths: On one hand, you can level quickly to level 8 and bring more units onto the field. Alternatively, you can try to get Kennen to level 3 starting from level 7.
7 Mages
Which chosen one does the combo need? This combo was previously played with 5 mages. The new variant with 7 makes the build currently one of the strongest. However, you need a chosen one, ideally Aurelion Sol or Veigar.

- Annie – Lucky Charm/Mage

Which items does the combo need? The combo focuses on Aurelion Sol as a carry:
- Asol – Hextech Gunblade, Gem-Studded Glove, Guardian Angel
- Lulu – Chalice of Power, Amulet of the Iron Solari
- Veigar – Hextech Gunblade, Blue Buff
How does the early game go? In the early game, you can start with a combo of 3-5 mages. You should support this with a frontline of frontliners or brawlers, like Maokai and Nunu for the ancient wood bonus.
What is the gold plan? You save up to 50 gold and from there, there are two paths: On one hand, you can quickly level up to 8 to fully deploy the combo. Alternatively, you can get Twisted Fate, Lulu, or Brand to level 3. However, many units of that type should be found beforehand.
