What are the biggest changes in set 4? With the new set came a completely new set of champions into the game. You will have to learn all builds from scratch. To give you an overview of the champions and items, we have compiled the most important cheat sheets.
So you can get started right away, we have put together the 3 best builds for the start of set 4.5.
6 Assassins Diana
Which chosen one does the combo need? The combo relies on getting a chosen assassin. Ideally, that’s Diana, so you can reach 4 assassins early with Pyke and Akali. Alternatively, Talon and Akali can also take on this role.

- Diana – Spirit/Assassin
- Pyke – Cultist/Assassin/Slaughterer
- Akali – Ninja/Assassin
- Katarina – Warlord/Lucky Guy/Assassin
- Talon – Enlightened/Assassin

Which items does the combo need? The combo focuses on Diana as the carry:
- Diana – Infinity Blade, Ruunan’s Hurricane, Titan’s Resolve
- Akali – Zeke’s Herald, Iron Solari Amulet
- Additional DMG items on Talon
What is the gold plan? You collect 50 gold and slowly level up to level 5 to get Diana to 3.
Are there alternatives? Yes, the combo can also be played with Diana and 4 assassins. Then you forgo Katarina and Akali and instead include Shen and Yone. This way, you get the mystic bonus earlier and also benefit from the Adepts.
Chosen Zed
Which chosen one does the combo need? The combo does not necessarily rely on a chosen one, but Zed is a suitable slaughterer. Alternatively, Pyke as a slaughterer or general bonuses like Adept or Mystic can also help.

- Akali – Ninja/Assassin
- Kennen – Ninja/Guardian
- Shen – Ninja/Adept/Mystic

- Samira – Demon Guy/Slaughterer (As 3rd slaughterer when no chosen one)

Which items does the combo need? This combo focuses on Zed as the carry and requires specific items.
- Zed – Rapid Firecannon, Ruunan’s Hurricane, Mercury
- Akali with 1-2 Zeke’s Heralds
- Other useful items are tank items on Aatrox or Shen and Iron Solari Amulet in the backline.
What is the gold plan? You aim to reach 50 gold and then quickly level up to levels 7 and 8 so your combo works. Once you have your chosen Zed, slow roll after level 7 to get him to level 3. If you need Samira as the third slaughterer, you should go faster towards level 9.
Are there alternatives? Yes, the combo can also be played without the cultists. Then you also include the two Adepts Irelia and Yone.
Another flexible method is to bring Samira as the second carry on board and instead forgo the ninjas. Here you play with the 3 cultists, Zed, Samira, Teemo, Yuumi and Sejuani as tank. This way, you gain the bonus of 2 snipers and 2 spirits, which is also strong.
6 Guardians
Which chosen one does the combo need? This combo requires a guardian. Kennen or Xayah are best suited.

- Jarvan IV – Warlord/Guardian
- Rakan – Ancientwood/Guardian
- Xayah – Ancientwood/Executioner
- Azir – The Emperor/Warlord/Guardian

- 6 Guardians
- 3 Ancientwood
- 2 Executioners
- 2 Frontline Fighters

Which items does the combo need? The combo is very flexible with items, with Xayah taking on the carry role:
- Xayah: 2x Hand of Justice, Deathblade
- Kennen: Morellonomicon, Guardian Angel
What is the gold plan? You aim to reach 50 gold and then quickly level up to levels 7 and 8 so your combo works.
Are there alternatives? Yes, the combo can also be played with 3 warlords, with Katarina taking on the role of the second carry alongside Rakan. For this, you also use Elise as the guardian and Pyke as a substitute for Kindred to get the assassin and cultist buff.
Bonus: Random Legendaries
What kind of combo is this? As in general in set 4, it can be very strong to play simply with 4- and 5-gold champions that have no significant synergy. Carries in this case are for example Samira or Yone.
Especially with Shen and Zilean you have a strong combo, since you get the mystic bonus and Zilean always resurrects strong units. A possible combo would be:
- Samira – Demon Guy/Slaughterer
- Olaf – Dragon Soul/Slaughterer
- Tryndamere – Warlord/Duelist/Slaughterer
- Shen – Ninja/Adept/Mystic
