In Battlefront all players can test the “Outer Rim” DLC for free for three days. Read on to find out how it works.
A Weekend in the Outer Rim
To ensure the weekend doesn’t start with a bad Friday the 13th, EA has decided to allow all players of Star Wars: Battlefront to get a taste of the first of the 4 announced DLCs. The “Outer Rim” expansion was released last month for all Season Pass holders, but now all purchasers of the base game also have the opportunity to try out the new content.
From May 13 to May 15, all players on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One can try the DLC for free to get a feel for the new maps and the two heroes Greedo and Nien Nunb.
However, there are some limitations. Players can try out the free weapons from the Hutt contracts, but the specific weapons of the Outer Rim and the corresponding Star Cards can only be used by Season Pass holders or purchasers of the DLC.
Even after the 4 DLCs, there’s more to come, as EA is already planning a second Battlefront for 2017.
