Since we follow the concept “by gamers for gamers” on mein-mmo.de, we are of course happy if more players get involved and want to report about their favorite games, created guides, fan kits, and so on. The first visitor contribution comes from Johannes, who operates a TESO forum and has now also set up a neat fan kit project. How to obtain this and much more, you will learn in his experience report, where he also shares what he connects with ESO.
Why The Elder Scrolls Online Excites Me
The Elder Scrolls Online feels like an authentic Bethesda title. I have been able to gain experience in many MMORPGs, as I have participated in numerous online portals and had the opportunity to test games in advance and write reviews.
I would now like to address the essential contents of The Elder Scrolls Online and report on my experiences from the beta events.
The Elder Scrolls Online must meet high expectations, after all, the single-player titles have been a staple in the gaming industry for years. Players appreciate the depth of the story and the little tales that can be discovered in various places.
An online game with a story that you can immerse yourself in? And with so many races to choose from? I could hardly imagine that. But I had spent so many hours with Oblivion and Skyrim that I certainly wanted to play the corresponding MMO as well. After all, it must be a great feeling to explore and discover the areas you have already traveled through alone, now together with friends.
Accordingly, I registered for the beta as soon as the development was announced. It didn’t take long until the first invitation landed in my inbox. For me, it was clear that I wanted to play a race from Morrowind, the dark eastern core of the Empire of Tamriel. I had already played dark elves in Skyrim. For the class selection, I chose a wizard, which I then played up to level 10.
During my first adventures in the lower level area, I focused on questing, as this was initially the only way to obtain new items. Of course, you can also crack treasure chests, but usually, there were other players faster than I was. In addition to the mature quest system, I also found the crafting system very positively, which prompted me to take a closer look at this aspect of the game. After gathering a few resources, I was able to craft a robe. Sure, it didn’t look pretty, but the stats and attributes were better than the robe that the merchant a few houses down offered at an outrageous price. I must say, for a beta phase everything already looked very nice and apart from a few login issues, I did not encounter any problems, so I will be traveling in Tamriel starting in April.
The First Steps in Building a Community

The game has captivated me and my friends so much that we have built a German community for The Elder Scrolls Online, with an associated forum. Besides the forum, which we focus on, we also offer daily news and guides, as well as the opportunity to present and search for guilds.
Just a few days ago, our fan site package started circulating on the internet, which so far includes a unique collection of exclusive graphics and is only available on our site in this compilation. The graphics were created by members of our community and us. All graphics are based on the work of the official site and are also subject to their copyright.
