In FIFA 19, many players look quite similar to their real-life counterparts. However, some players, including a few stars, have received little love from EA. We show you which players desperately need new face scans for FIFA 20.
Actually, there are quite a few good face scans in FIFA 19. But now and then, there are players that look so terrible that they can completely destroy the football illusion.
This is particularly noticeable during goal celebrations when you see the players up close.
These players urgently need better faces in FIFA 20
Young and older players are affected: Most often, young players do not have proper faces in FIFA 19. EA apparently wants to wait and see if it is worth creating them. After all, a young star could quickly disappear from the limelight.
But even older top stars may lack a realistic face. Here is a selection of players for whom we wish a more realistic appearance in FIFA 20:
Nils Petersen
This is Petersen: For years, Nils Petersen has been scoring reliably in the Bundesliga. He has also represented the SC Freiburg in the national team. Unfortunately, he has not received a real face.
Fabinho
This is Fabinho: The Brazilian Fabinho has been an established player in international football for years. It’s surprising that the 25-year-old player from FC Liverpool still doesn’t have a proper face in FIFA.
His current game face is not as bad as others, but still has little resemblance to his real appearance.
Kai Havertz
This is Kai Havertz: He is the shooting star of the last Bundesliga season 2018/2019 and is considered Germany’s biggest talent. Therefore, it’s even more surprising that Havertz received a face from EA that does not resemble him at all.
The wrong face will likely annoy FUT players, as Havertz has quite strong and sought-after cards that are often played in FUT 19.
Axel Witsel
This is Axel Witsel: The defensive midfielder from Borussia Dortmund is far from satisfied with his appearance in FIFA 19 and made it clear in a cheeky way via Twitter.
And he is right, because Witsel actually looks terrible in FIFA 19. However, it must be said that the hairstyle fits.
Thomas Delaney
This is Thomas Delaney: The player from Borussia Dortmund has a very standard face in FIFA 19. We strongly hope that this will change in FIFA 20.
Luka Jovic
This is Jovic: The new signing from Real Madrid caused a stir in the last Bundesliga season, scoring many goals. His cards were also very popular in Ultimate Team. It’s a shame that he still doesn’t have a proper face, but that will probably change in FIFA 20.
After all, a club like Real Madrid gets a bit more attention than Eintracht Frankfurt.
Maximilian Eggestein
This is Eggestein: The player from Werder Bremen had an outstanding season and is now known to many. Hopefully, that will be enough to be rewarded with a realistic appearance in FIFA 20.
Some talents, on the other hand, look really good
There are also positive examples: On the other hand, there are also many young talents in FIFA 19 who have already received a realistic appearance from EA Sports.
