The new action MMORPG TERA will soon have a short beta for PS4 and Xbox One again. This time, you should be able to explore the beautiful TERA world with fewer issues and bugs during a weekend and enjoy the action combat system.
TERA, the action-packed online role-playing game from South Korea, previously had an open beta weekend for PS4 and Xbox One. However, it was quite unpleasant for some players due to bugs, login issues, and crashes. Even the wonderful action combat gameplay and pretty graphics couldn’t help.
Fortunately, that was not the last open beta test for TERA. En Masse, the western publisher of the console version, will soon host another beta weekend.
Fewer bugs, higher level cap! – Start and end of the TERA beta
The new beta of TERA on consoles starts on Friday, March 16 at 2:00 PM our time. However, the beta won’t last very long. It will end on March 18 at 5:00 AM.
If you’re interested in TERA, there is a lot to offer. The developers have learned from the problems of the first open beta and implemented some changes.
- Almost all zones now have multiple channels. You can switch channels from the menu using the triangle or Y button. Previously, the zones were heavily overcrowded, leading to crashes or freezes. Now you can simply switch channels and have less stress.
- The UI no longer closes when a Pegasus or teleportal is used nearby.
- The name displays will no longer just disappear.
Additionally, the level cap has been increased to 58! This gives you access to more areas and dungeons. And from level 40, a new class, the Blade Dancer, will be introduced!
You can continue to use your previous beta heroes. The already announced wipe will only take place before the launch of the release version.
Stress Test Challenge and New Rewards
As last week, there will also be something to win this time. If you log in and play during the stress test times, you will receive a reward. This time it is a kind of halo, the “Blue Angel Halo”.
To receive it, you just need to log in during the stress test times and make the servers glow. These times are:
- March 16 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (EU servers)
- March 17 from 12:00 AM to 2:00 AM (US servers)
- March 17 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (EU servers)
- March 18 from 12:00 AM to 2:00 AM (US servers)
Your rewards will be available at the start of the release version.
A bittersweet note: This beta is not as open as last time. You must have downloaded the client last time to participate in the beta now.
