A major update from TERA brings fresh excitement. New players have the perfect opportunity to join now – new servers are available!
If you’ve always been curious about TERA because of its action-packed combat system but have had doubts about the game, now is the perfect opportunity to start or return. The Patch 61 of TERA, Power of Mechanics, set to go live on October 10, 2017, brings several innovations.
Here are new details about the process:
- The maintenance will begin on October 10 at 09:00 AM and is expected to be completed by 5:00 PM.
- The group search system for dungeons and battlegrounds will be shared with existing servers.
- Character transfers to and from the new servers will be temporarily disabled.
- Pre-download: Patch 61.02 (size: 937 MB) can be downloaded now in the TERA launcher. However, the content of the patch will only be accessible on October 10. [Note: A pre-download is not possible on Steam.]
New server “Saleron” allows for fresh beginnings
Starting on an “old” server often makes it hard to integrate into the existing guilds and auction houses. Other players have already had months of advantage, making it feel like a constant struggle to catch up.
It’s so much nicer to start on a fresh server! TERA is also launching 3 new servers on October 10. If you want a mostly German community, settle on the server “Saleron” and be at the forefront when the major guilds form and the power balances are adjusted.

New dungeons with fresh rewards
To live up to the name Power of Mechanics, two new dungeons are being introduced to the game.
- Syruk’s Research Station features 3 new bosses and requires a starting equipment level of 431. Players will delve into eerie experiments taking place deep in an underground research station in the jungle.
- The second dungeon, the RK-9 Hangar, requires an equipment level of 439 and also includes 3 new bosses. Here, too, there’s a slightly misguided scientist causing too much chaos with his deadly robots to be left alive.
TERA Club (subscription) now even more attractive
TERA is basically a free-to-play game, but you can gain some advantages by subscribing. Those who decide to join the TERA Club not only receive additional items daily, such as cosmetic upgrades, potions, or materials and bonus instance visits, but also some permanent buffs. These have also been improved with Patch 61.
The number of permanent boosts increases from 2 to 4:
- 100% more gold from quests
- 100% more reputation points
- Permanent complete crystal binding
- Increase in crafting speed by 50%
Besides these major changes, TERA is also revamping many gameplay mechanics. The loot system is now clearer, the enchanting system more comprehensible, and several mechanics more user-friendly. This should benefit both veterans and newcomers.
