The operator of the Korean version of TERA is bringing new servers – and is working on a “TERA 2”.
Server Transfer and Mobile Game TERA 2
At the end of last year, Nexon secured TERA in Korea and has since been responsible for the further development and maintenance of the game. After the server transfer was initiated in December (with 60% of the transferred characters being Humans), the new Nexon servers are set to launch on January 26.
At the same time, Nexon has also secured the rights for a mobile game that is currently being referred to as “TERA 2”, until new information is available. TERA is considered to be relatively successful in Korea, having had 5 years of development time and won numerous gaming awards. The game has already received several spin-offs in other genres, such as “TERA: Elin Expedition” for Android and iOS systems. Whether the ominous “TERA 2” will also be merely a casual game or will be more extensive is currently not known.
