The MMORPG TERA (PC, PS4, Xbox One) has received a substantial update. You can now play with a 64-bit client and some interesting new content has been added.
What does the new update bring? With the update, the 64-bit client is being utilized. This brings several advantages. By utilizing more than 4 GB of RAM, crashes should be reduced, stability and performance will be increased, and there will be no more stuttering when accessing the inventory. Furthermore, the new client allows for more effects and players to be displayed simultaneously.
However, this leads to increased system requirements for the MMORPG TERA:
- Windows 10 64-bit is now mandatory
- You need at least an Intel i5 7500 or AMD Ryzen 7-1700 as the CPU
- A GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon RX 380 is the minimum graphics card required
- Your system needs 12 GB of RAM
- DirectX 11 is required
- Disk space now requires 80 GB
A lot of new content for the MMORPG
What else does the update bring? The client is not the only thing the substantial update brings. New exciting content is also being added. This includes:
- The Legat Residence as a new 20-player raid: Players level 70 and above with a minimum item level of 450 can experience an exciting adventure in the endgame on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 00:00 and 23:59, where you can acquire valuable loot.
- The revamped RK9 Hangar: From level 70 and item level 461, 5-player groups can enter this dungeon once per day.
- The Edge of the Abyss: Between Patch 97 and 98, 5 players level 68 and above with an item level of 452 can complete daily quests with many rewards.
- 2 new training dungeons: Through the Berak Fortress (level 69) and Parquinas Nest (level 68), you will learn to manage the mechanics of difficult dungeons.
New scrolls with which you can modify armor, as well as adjustments to items, the UI, group searching, and class balancing are also included in the update.
How is the update being received? Currently, it is not yet clear how the update is being received by the players. The maintenance on August 6 lasted significantly longer than planned, so TERA fans have not been able to play for very long.
Additionally, according to Twitter, the update is still overshadowed by some problems. Players report that when using Alt-Tab, the game suddenly switches to windowed mode. There are also reports of issues with controller support on Xbox since the update.
The MMORPG TERA primarily focuses on PvE content. With the TERA Battle Arena (TBA), the online game will receive a new extensive PvP content in the form of an in-game MOBA.
