On December 11, the free action MMO TERA will receive a huge content update. Gameforge unexpectedly announced today via the official website that the expansion “Fate of Arun” will be launched on live servers next Thursday.
The download will be available even earlier, allowing players to download the patch through the launcher at the beginning of next week, so there will be no waiting time at release. This way, nothing stands in the way of an immediate journey to the new northern continent of Arun. But what does the extensive content update have to offer in detail?
The northern continent of Arun offers plenty of new quests and monsters to level up your character from Level 60 to 65 – that’s right, the update increases the maximum level for the first time in the West. The areas Wildlands (from 60), Valley of Spring (61), Ex Prima (63), and Arx Umbra (from 64) as well as the Baraka city Heights Watch promise, according to publisher Gameforge, “dense jungles, hot springs, a forgotten city, and snow-covered peaks.”

But it’s not just the level that’s increasing: Each class will also receive new skills that will not only be additions but will significantly enhance the character. With Fate of Arun, the developers are also working on an improved player experience, which is reflected in changes to the item enchantment, a new crystal, and quest system.
Dungeons are one of TERA’s greatest strengths, and just like the last content update, players will be delivered with 4 brand new group instances, a complete package that should provide plenty of variety and challenges for the coming months.
Completely new this time is that a competitive PvP & PvE battleground will be introduced. On separate platforms, two groups of players face each other, aiming to defeat wave mobs and BAMs (Boss Monsters) first.
