The indirect successor of Tera is a fantasy MMO called Project Exa. The fantasy MMORPG is being developed by Bluehole Studios. The first images are now available.
For a long time, there was persistent rumor that Bluehole Studios was working on a “Tera 2.” That was clarified later, almost a year ago: It is not Tera 2 and it is not just one game, but it is a standalone MMO (more specifically, there are actually two). However, they work with a similar aesthetic as Tera and take place in a Western fantasy world. The two games are currently called “Project W” and “Project Exa.” A brand new combat system was promised back then.
First screenshots of models from “Project Exa” have now been released. Allegedly, the groundwork for Project Exa began in 2012, and the actual development gained momentum in 2014. We add the “allegedly” due to the language barrier – our Chinese is a bit rusty and not always trustworthy with Google Translate.
In any case: Here are the new 3D models of Project Exa that have now been shown. They look – “Oh wonder” – quite a lot like Tera. And if you know the history of Tera, it is not surprising that Elin-like beings are included again.
