New instances, raids, and guild wars are coming in summer for Tera – at least already in Korea.
The Gameforge team is diligently working on further improving TERA. After the changes that are expected in the original version of the game were announced in Korea, they have now followed up with some highlights that are coming in the next months.
The concept of guild wars is being revised. Once a week, all guilds can compete against each other simultaneously and must defend their outposts while overrunning the opponent’s facilities. The guild with the last intact outpost will gain control over Velika and the surrounding region for one week, allowing the region to be taxed and special tasks to be undertaken.
New content is also planned for smaller and larger groups. Up to 30 players will face a new raid boss of “epic size.” Smaller groups can venture into at least 2 new dungeons (Lilith’s Castle and Rakelith’s Ruins), but they must adapt to the constantly changing behavior patterns of the enemies. These “unpredictable” adjustments of the foes are intended to keep the new instances exciting for a long time.
Furthermore, there will be a thorough overhaul of the classes, starting with the wizard classes. This involves not only balance but also updating the visual effects of the various abilities.
Lastly, the somewhat overloaded interface developed over the years is being addressed, aiming to eliminate “useless” information while clearly presenting important mechanics, such as warnings for enemy attacks.
It is emphasized that these changes will not all come to the game at the same time – a specific date cannot be given yet.
