Will there be a console version of the MMORPG TERA or not? En Masse provides an answer.
En Masse has nothing to announce yet
In recent days, the rumor mill around TERA has been boiling over. The reason for this is a survey, in which En Masse wanted to know from players if they own a console and if so, what type. The colleagues from mmorpg.com quickly asked the developer for clarification. The answer is as follows:
“Because we are focused on the players, we like to ask for their opinions and preferences, which also includes surveys. We cover a wide range of topics, some related to active games, others are more general in nature, so that we can adjust our plans and decisions accordingly. Currently, there is no announcement for future TERA plans beyond the PC version.”
Mein-MMO says: Such a definitive answer is still not provided. The fact that there is currently nothing to announce was somehow already clear, simply because there was no announcement. On the other hand, En Masse’s statement leaves a lot of room for interpretation, because a clear denial looks different. TERA would be ideally suited for a console port. Especially the more action-oriented combat system, where dodging is still quite easy, would be suitable for that.
Whether TERA will ever see the light of day on current consoles remains to be seen, of course. Perhaps the survey is not about TERA at all, but about some future project that En Masse cannot yet talk about. In a few months, we will surely know more about it.
