In the Pokémon MMO Temtem, each of your companions has several attributes that also depend on the so-called TV/SV values. In this guide, we will reveal how the numbers are related and how you can specifically improve your Temtems.
What is this guide about? The guide is meant to first explain generally which attributes exist and what they influence in battle. After that, we will explain how you can specifically improve these attributes.
This also includes the special values SV (Single Values) and TV (Training Values), which significantly influence the development of your Temtems.
This guide is aimed at both beginners and advanced players who want to optimize their Temtems. More useful guides for the MMO:
The Attributes in Temtem
What attributes exist in Temtem? Your Temtems have 7 attributes each:
- HP – Hit Points
- Stamina
- Speed
- Attack
- Defense
- Special Attack
- Special Defense
Many of these values are self-explanatory, but some functions are not immediately recognizable:
- Stamina determines how many skills a Temtem can use before it is exhausted.
- Speed influences the order in which Temtems attack in a round. However, there are skills that have higher speed and therefore are prioritized.
- Some skills have a “special symbol” in the form of a star. These are influenced by Special Attack or Special Defense.
Improving the Attributes
How to improve the attributes of Temtems? With each victory over an opponent, your Temtems gain experience. This will eventually lead to a level up.
Each level up improves the base attributes of your Temtems, always according to their type. However, a level up also recalculates your Temtem’s SV/TV values. And this is exactly the values we want to look at more closely.
TV – Training Values
What are TVs? The so-called Training Values are a value that influences the attributes of your Temtem. Unlike a level up, which improves your base values, you can specifically improve the Training Values.
Newly caught or freshly hatched Temtems have no TVs at all. You need to train them specifically.
You can obtain a maximum of 500 TVs in one attribute and a total of 1,000 TVs for one Temtem.
How to improve TVs? To improve TVs, you need to defeat or catch certain enemy Temtems. Each Temtem enhances a different value:
- A defeated or caught Skail always gives your two active Temtems +1 Speed.
- A Houchic, on the other hand, always grants +1 Special Attack.
- You can find a detailed list in the Temtem Wiki
Alternatively, you can feed your Temtems specific fruits. These also enhance a certain value.
How are TVs calculated? Anyone who has a little familiarity with the numbers will notice that one TV does not automatically correspond to an improvement in the value.
The TVs are recalculated, with the factor at levels 1 to 48 (Max level in Early Access) always being 10. So, 10 TVs correspond to an improvement in the attribute.
SV – Single Values
What are SVs? Single Values are uncontrollable values that are determined when capturing a Temtem. The Single Values depend on various factors:
- Starter Temtems always have fixed SVs
- Luma Temtems always have three maximum SVs
- Wild Temtems have random SVs
- Hatched Temtems have a mix of their parents’ SVs
Unlike Training Values, theoretically all attributes can be maximized here. However, the maximum is 50 per attribute.
How can SVs be improved? SVs cannot be improved through level ups. However, there are rare items in the game, like the Telomere Hack, that enhances individual values.
Additionally, SV values can also be increased through breeding. With targeted items, the right parents, and a bit of luck, the hatched Temtem can get better values than its parents.
How are SVs calculated? At this point, we are not 100% sure. However, it seems that the calculation is similar to TVs, 10 to 1.
The Maximum Attributes
How do I get the maximum out of my Temtem? Your Temtem has maximum values when it:
- Reaches max level, currently 48
- Has 1,000 TV points
- Additionally has gained SV points through items or breeding
How you distribute the values then depends on each Temtem and your personal strategy. In Deniz, you will find two strong Temtems, Nessla and Oceara, that you don’t need to train as much:
