Temtem’s Kickstarter campaign was a success. The MMO, which resembles Pokémon, is coming for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the Switch.
What is Temtem? Temtem is an online game from the Spanish developer studio Crema. In the game, you catch monsters in the wild and let them battle against other monsters. The principle is reminiscent of Pokémon, the inspiration is clear.
Singleplayer and Online: You can expect a singleplayer experience in Temtem with battles in the wild, story, and quests. Multiplayer features such as 1v1 battles and meeting other players are also included. For this, you are constantly online. The Kickstarter video shows the main features.
Kickstarter campaign successful – Temtem Gameplay
Great support: The Kickstarter campaign was extremely successful. The original goal of $70,000 was surpassed. In total, by July 2, over $570,000 was raised.
Many platforms are supported: Temtem will be released on Steam (Windows), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. However, the alpha and early access will only take place on Steam.
Crossplay? The developers are working on a cross-play and cross-save feature. However, they explain: “… keep in mind that some platforms do not allow this (PS4).”
100% Online: You need either Xbox Live or PSN Plus to play on the console.
There is even some first gameplay on the Switch, which you can see in the following video. The developers explain that this is a very early development stage.
When is the release of Temtem? An alpha phase of Temtem will start in November 2018. Early access will follow in September 2019, and the release will be in May 2020.
