Do you have specific resources when searching for new games? Tell us whom you lend your ear and trust: How do you find your next game for PC, PS4, Xbox One, or mobile platforms?
June is the month when we bring the gaming fairs to your home with “Find Your Next Game.” Every day, there are articles, streams, and exclusive announcements that you can see with us on MeinMMO, GameStar, and GamePro.
“Find Your Next Game” is not just about games, but also about you. After all, you should find new games that weren’t on your radar before.
But where do you usually look for new games when we’re not throwing a big event full of announcements and game presentations from MeinMMO, GameStar, and GamePro?
In 2020, there are many ways to get information about new games:
- There are ads and trailers that developers and publishers use to capture our attention
- Reviews on gaming sites give deeper insights into new games and provide analyses from experts
- Youtubers and streamers provide direct gameplay material and share their personal opinions
- You can gather recommendations from friends and family, people you know personally and can rely on
- Automated recommendations on gaming platforms like Steam or PSN search for games similar to your favorites that might match your taste
- The community can leave their own reviews on games, and the sheer volume of them indicates a tendency towards good or bad
- Metacritic combines scores from gaming media with those from users and provides an overview
- And of course, there are the good old demos and beta tests, where you can form your own opinion about games
Do you have other resources where you search for new game recommendations and check if they’re good? Write them to us in the comments.
How can I vote? You can cast your vote in the survey tool below. You can select up to 3 different response options that best suit you.

So tell us: Who do you listen to for game recommendations? Do you have a single trusted source or do you check multiple places? Let us know how you go about your search for new games.
The survey ends on June 14.
Have fun voting!
