On September 24, the Open Beta of CoD Modern Warfare 2 began on all platforms. What is your first impression of the game?
This is CoD MW2: On Saturday evening at 7:00 PM our time, the CoD MW2 beta briefly opens its doors unrestricted for all players. Previously, only pre-order customers and PlayStation players could try out the new shooter, but now everyone can join in and have fun in the game.
- The Open Beta starts for everyone on Saturday, September 24 at 7:00 PM
- It ends on Monday, September 26, at 7:00 PM
All interested players can freely try out the game for 48 hours. The beta offers new multiplayer modes, as well as old ones that will be familiar to fans of the shooter. These include, for example:
- The 32vs32 mode “Ground War” on the map Sarrif Bay
- New large mode Invasion
- 6vs6 maps like Fram 18 or Valderas Museum
- 6vs6 modes like Team Deathmatch, Knock-Out, or Prisoner Rescue
You cannot keep your progress in the beta, as there will be a wipe after the end. However, there is a “Reward” system for participants, where you can unlock rewards for the finished game by leveling up.

CoD MW2 will be released on October 28, 2022, so it’s not that far away. The first season of the shooter will also start right with the release.
