The Twitch streamer Scarra used the new champion Kai’Sa in a livestream about Teamfight Tactics. In eager anticipation, he then opens the DPS overview – and is bitterly disappointed by his new favorite.
How was Scarra disappointed? With Patch 9.20, the champion Kai’Sa received a buff that increased attack speed and health shield.
That’s why the Twitch streamer Scarra also included the still very young champion in his team combo. At the end of a round, he looks forward to the DPS numbers of the champion. But they turn out to be smaller than expected.
His reaction has made it into a Twitch clip, which has landed near the top of the TFT reddit. He can’t quite grasp why his Kai’Sa disappointed him so much:
No Damage means No Damage
Why does Kai’Sa deal so little damage? Instead of the hoped-for 10,000 damage, which Scarra was actually looking forward to, Kai’Sa only managed 258.
This puts her far behind the other archers like Ashe (almost 6,000 damage) and Varus (2,332). The explanation is quite simple:
- Although Kai’Sa’s attack speed was increased, her base damage is still extremely low.
- On the enemy side, there were 4 Knights. These reduce all incoming damage by 35.
- If Kai’Sa now deals less than 35 damage due to the armor of the enemy champions, that ultimately translates to no damage at all. And no matter how high the attack speed is, it won’t change that.
Knight extremely popular: In the current meta, Knights are represented in several variants. One of the strongest builds relies on 4 Knights and 2 Guardians, who provide additional armor.
But 6 Knights and 4 Imperials have also been among the strongest combos in the game for several weeks now.
Teamfight Tactics is currently doing quite well. It has brought many new players to LoL, making it the largest PC game:
