In Teamfight Tactics, patch 9.19 is on the way and it is set to be significant. Developer Mortdog has once again released an overview of the planned changes for the LoL Auto Chess.
When does patch 9.19 come out? The new update for TFT is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, September 25. It includes some new features that were originally planned for patch 9.18.
We have highlighted the five biggest highlights of the update for you and will present them in more detail.
1. The new Battle Gloves
What is the biggest change of the update? Patch 9.19 finally brings the long-awaited Battle Gloves into the game. This is a new basic item that can be combined with others.
Battle Gloves themselves provide:
- +10% chance to dodge
- +10% chance for critical hits
The Battle Gloves thus introduce 9 additional items with new properties.
2. The new champion Kai’Sa
What can the new champion do? Patch 9.19 will introduce a new champion. Kai’Sa will cost 5 gold and will have the origin Void Creature.
She represents both the classes Assassins and Archers. This is a very interesting combo in the current meta. Currently, Void Creatures and Assassins play a central role, but Archers are also in demand.
Her special ability allows Kai’Sa to hop across the board and escape from tricky situations.
3. Changes to the Void Creatures
What is changing about the origin? With Kai’Sa, the fifth Void Creature is coming into play, and thus the origin will be revised with patch 9.19.
In the future, only all Void Creatures will deal true damage when there are four instead of three on the field:
- (2) – One Void Creature deals true damage
- (4) – All Void Creatures deal true damage
4. Nerfs for Shapeshifters
What is changing with the Shapeshifters? Shapeshifters have been strong in the meta since patch 9.17. Therefore, they will receive a noticeable nerf with the upcoming update.
Their maximum health increase will now be 100% instead of 120%. Additionally, the damage of Shyvanna will be reduced from 250/375/500 to 200/300/400.
Gnar is also expected to be slightly nerfed.

5. Buff for Jinx
Which champion buff is particularly interesting? With patch 9.19, Jinx is set to become somewhat stronger again. After the release of the Hextech Champions in patch 9.16, she briefly dominated the meta and was found in almost every combo.
However, after a week, she was nerfed, and since then she has still been played, but is only present in a few builds.
Patch 9.19 will be bigger than planned
What else is changing? Patch 9.19 brings many small adjustments to item distribution, player damage, and to Ice Beasts and Volibear.
On the buff side, Ninjas will receive an additional 10 attack and spell damage. Blitzcrank, Vi, and the item Titanic Hydra will also be pleased.
Nerfs, however, are on the way for Archers, whose attack speed is reduced from 30% to 25%. Dragons, Sejuani, Braum, and the two popular items Infinity Blade and Rapid Fire Gun will also be weakened.
Developer Mortdog announced via Twitter that patch 9.19 has unexpectedly become quite large. Additionally, 9.19 will be the patch that is played at TwitchCon, where there will be a Twitch Rivals event for Teamfight Tactics.
Next week, there will be many major changes for Teamfight Tactics. Nevertheless, interest in the game has decreased. We have taken a closer look at the current state:
