On the night of October 22, various YouTubers and streamers were allowed to release new information about Teamfight Tactics. All champions and attributes from Set 2 were presented.
How is Set 2 structured? Set 2 of TFT includes a total of 51 champions and 24 attributes in the form of origins and classes. Only a few elements from the old content of the current set remain.
Additionally, significant changes to the battlefield will come with the second set. In addition to the expansion by two rows, there will also be so-called elemental fields. One appears at the start of the game, one in Stage 3-1.
They provide additional bonuses, which are identical on both sides and occupy an item slot for the champion in this field. They grant additional attack speed, additional mana, or comparable effects.
When does Set 2 come out? Set 2 will be brought to the PBE with the evening of the coming night. The release is set for two weeks later, on November 5.
Before that, Patch 9.21 will be released with many changes.
Next, we will share all information regarding champions and attributes. In a tweet, lead designer Mortdog emphasized that the basic information from the streamers is correct, but small balance changes have already been made.
All Attributes of Set 2
These are the new attributes: With the upcoming set, we can look forward to 20 new attributes. However, not all final information is available yet. We have compiled what is currently known for you:
The new origins
Which origins are particularly interesting? There is much discussion about the effects of Inferno and Wind on reddit. While Inferno champions deal a lot of damage, Wind champions seem to be the better Yordles and provide evasion chance for all.
The effects of Mountain and Steel, on the other hand, seem weak. They are expected to have little impact on the course of the game:
- Inferno (3/6/9): Inflicts Burning on the enemy’s position for 5 seconds with their skill and deals percentage damage of the spell (80%/150%/250%).
- Ocean (2/4/6): All units receive mana every 3 seconds (10/25/40).
- Desert (2/4): 50%/90% armor penetration.
- Poison (3): Champions apply a neurotoxin when dealing damage. This increases the target’s mana cost by 50%.
- Electric (2/3/4): Electric champions shock nearby enemies when they land a critical hit or receive one (60/200/500 damage).
- Forest (3): At the start of the round, a random Forest champion clones themselves.
- Steel (2/3/4): When health falls below 50%, gain invulnerability for 2/3/4 seconds.
- Mountain (2): At the start of the round, a random ally receives a shield of 1,500 health points.
- Light: Whenever a Light unit dies, other Light champions receive attack speed and regain 25% of their maximum health points.
- Shadow: Shadow champions deal additional damage at the start of combat and after each kill.
- Crystal (2): Reduces the maximum damage champions in the team can take from an attack.
- Cloud (2/3/4): All units gain an evasion chance (25%/40%/55%).
- Avatar (1): The origin counts double.
- Alchemy (1): Can walk through targets.
The new classes
Which classes are particularly strong: Many players have already identified the Predator champions as too strong, especially in the late game. Executing opponents with less than 25% health seems unbalanced.
Additionally, Mages and Mystics make a solid impression. Much depends on how well Singed, as the only member of this class, performs:
- Alchemist (1): Ignores collisions with units and has no movement restrictions.
- Berserker: Jumps to the next enemy. (3/6) 40%/80% becomes cleave damage and 100% AoE damage straight ahead.
- Mage (3/6): 50%/100% chance to double-effect spells.
- Hunter (3): Any damage dealt to enemy units with less than 25% health executes them.
- Summoner (3/6): More health points + longer duration for summoned creatures.
- Warden (2/4/6): +100%/+250%/+400% armor for Warden champions.
- Druid: Druids receive health regeneration.
- Mystic (2): All units gain magic resistance +70.
- Avatar: Only Lux, she randomly receives an attribute that is counted twice.
Which old attributes remain? In Set 2, there will be some attributes carried over from the current set, though there will be minor adjustments:
- Archers (2/4/6): Archers have a chance to double their attack speed for 3 seconds (30%/65%/100%).
- Blade Master (2/4/6): 40% chance for 1/2/3 additional attacks.
- Assassins (3/6): The bonus for 9 Assassins has been removed.
- Iceborn: The effects remain identical to Set 1.
All Champions of Set 2
Which champions are in Set 2? Set 2 comes with a total of 36 new champions and adjusts several old ones. We already know the appropriate attributes and skills for many of the new champs.
1-Gold-Champions
The highlights of the 1-Gold-Champions: Among the cheapest champions, the Predator stand out as particularly interesting. They execute enemies below 25% health, and with Warwick and Kog’Maw, there are directly two of them in the early game.
Additionally, you can immediately find 2 of the 3 required Forest champions for a clone among them. The 1-Gold champions are bound to be contested:
- Renekton Desert/Berserker – Spins around and deals 150/275/400 damage and heals 150/250/350 HP.

2-Gold-Champions
The highlights of the 2-Gold-Champions: For 2 Gold, you get two more Predators, allowing you to achieve the maximum bonus early on.
Additionally, LeBlanc and Diana mark the arrival of the first assassins. However, to activate the 3 Assassin bonus, you have to wait for 3-Gold champions:
- LeBlanc Forest/Mage/Assassin – Hurls an ethereal stream at a random enemy, dealing 200/450/700 damage and stunning them after a short delay for 1.5 seconds.
- Braum Iceborn/Warden – Has the same skill as before.

- Neeko Forest/Druid – No info.
- Volibear Electric/Iceborn/Berserker – Volibear bites a target and deals 200/450/700 damage. If the target is below 35% HP, Volibear restores his full mana.
- Skarner Crystal/Predator – Neeko throws a seed at a random target, which explodes three times with an increasing radius and targets all enemies hit by each explosion.
3-Gold-Champions
The highlights of the 3-Gold-Champions: Through the 3-Gold-Champions, you finally have access to your third assassin. In particular, Nocturne seems suitable as he can heal himself significantly.
Additionally, Dr. Mundo is a good tank entering the game, who also brings significant self-healing. The archer Kindred has also become 1 Gold cheaper and comes with a new origin and skill:
- Dr. Mundo Poison/Berserker – Mundo creates a circle around him and deals magic damage for 40/110/160+1.25% of his maximum HP and heals for 100%/150%/200%.
- Nocturne Steel/Assassin – The third attack is an AoE and heals for 75%/100%/125% of the damage.
- Kindred Shadow/Inferno/Archer – Her ability sends a wolf to deal 150/325/500 damage while the lamb jumps away.
- Veigar Shadow/Mage – Skills as before.
- Aatrox Light/Blade Master – Skills as before.
- Azir Desert/Summoner – Azir summons a sand soldier for 6 seconds. Whenever Azir attacks, the soldier also attacks.
- Nautilus Ocean/Warden – Nautilus sends out a depth charge that identifies the farthest enemy champion, hits him, and stuns him for a long time.
- Ezreal Iceborn/Archer – Attacks the opponent with the least HP.
- Sivir Desert/Blade Master – For 5 seconds, Sivir’s attacks bounce up to 10 times, dealing physical damage to hit enemies and applying on-hit effects.
- Qiyana Random/Assassin – Hits the two tiles in front of her, stunning enemies for a few seconds and dealing magic damage.
- Soraka Light/Mystic – Gains a silence for 3/5/7 seconds + damage.
4-Gold-Champions
The highlights of the 4-Gold-Champions: Among the 4-Gold-Champions, you will find the archers Twitch and Ashe, the latter of whom has received a new origin and a new ability.
Another highlight is the supporter Janna, who brings a lot of healing and a stun for enemies:
- Kha’Zix Desert/Assassin – Kha’Zix becomes invisible, attacking the enemy with the lowest health after 2/1.25/0.5 seconds, automatically dealing critical hits and restoring 5/10/15 mana.
- Twitch Poison/Archer – For 8 seconds, Twitch gains unlimited range and 100/125/150% AD. All his attacks go through targets and activate an on-hit effect on each hit.
- Annie Inferno/Summoner – Summons Tibbers, dealing significant damage in the area.
- Janna Wind/Mystic – Activates Windblast for 3 seconds, healing allies in it (30/40/80% of their maximum health points) and stunning enemies for 1 second.

- Yorick Light/Summoner – Yorick blesses allies. When they die, they will resurrect as servants of the light.
5-Gold-Champions
The highlights of the 5-Gold-Champions: The assassin Zed is now one of the most expensive units, and fittingly, he brings his shadow with him. This shadow retains all attributes and item effects.
Another exciting champion is Singed, who has a self-only effect as an alchemist:
- Zed Electric/Assassin/Summoner – Zed creates a clone directly behind the current target. He uses the same attributes and items as the real Zed.
- Singed Poison/Alchemist – Leaves a trail of poison wherever he goes, dealing 400/800/1200 damage over 4 seconds.
- Taric Crystal/Warden – After a short time, Taric and all nearby allies become immune for a few seconds.
- Nami Ocean/Mystic – Nami sends a wave to a random enemy, dealing damage and throwing enemies upwards. Allies in the wave receive bonus magic damage.
- Master Yi Shadow/Mystic/Blade Master – Yi meditates, becoming untargetable for 1 second and healing 30% of his maximum health over the duration. For 6 seconds after finishing meditation, Master Yi gains 100% attack speed and deals bonus magic damage on hit.
7-Gold-Champions
Lux will be the first champion to cost seven gold. She shares the same champion pool as the 5-Gold champs:
- Lux Random/Avatar – Lux fires a laser that deals 600/900/1,200 damage. Kills with this attack grant her 50 mana.
Still without gold assignment
For one champion, we already know the name and the attributes, but we do not yet know the gold costs:
- Sion Shadow/Berserker – No info.
New Items in Set 2
Are there also new items for Set 2? Riot Games plans to introduce only one new item with the big patch. Warden’s Mail made from Chain Armor + Spatula also makes a unit a Warden.
Besides that, many new items already came with Patch 9.19 that have at least slightly influenced the meta.
Besides Teamfight Tactics, LoL is also expected to be playable on smartphones soon:
