B-Tier: The midfield of classes
The classes in the midfield of Tarisland have significant weaknesses in some game modes or lack something overall that would allow them to rise to a higher category.
B-Tier: The paladin does too little damage for a damage dealer
The paladin was once in A Tier but has now received two nerfs that have weakened him. His group buff now only applies to himself. While the class is now better at the beginning of the game, it loses damage later compared to other classes.
The damage of the class is good but not as high as others. The class itself can withstand some damage even as a damage dealer.
However, the paladin is not easy to play and also struggles in PvP. It simply lacks that one thing that the paladin as a damage dealer can do particularly well to allow him to rise to a higher category.
Here you can watch the cinematic trailer for the release of Tarisland:
B-Tier: The phantom necromancer has single healings that are not needed
The recently introduced class from Tarisland is the phantom necromancer. In her healing specification, she focuses on single heals, which is also her biggest problem. Currently, there is simply not enough need for strong single heals in the game, making the class somewhat redundant. Only in the PvP arena does the healer really shine and is perfect.
The group heals that the phantom necromancer has are not tied to her resource mechanics, which leaves her constantly in limbo between “waiting for the right moment” and “ability is not ready yet.”
The latest patches made the class better and it seems to be improving. Therefore, the specification recently rose from C Tier to B Tier.
B-Tier: The paladin as a tank has shields galore
The paladin tank is perfectly suited for PvE and can manage well alone. Even if the second tank in the team is no longer there, the tank can still survive for a long time alone. The paladin’s shields are very strong, especially on lower difficulty levels or dungeons.
However, the paladin tank has weaknesses in damage. As a tank, he deals the least damage in the raid and in PvP. Particularly in the “3 against 3” arena, but also in the battleground, it seems that the paladin’s big hammer is made of rubber.
