The MMORPG Tarisland has published the beta statistics, and apparently you particularly have it out for a small harpy. An old tree is also the most frequently defeated boss.
Why has the harpy been hunted so often? The harpy was one of the first enemies in Tarisland and widely spread in the first area. In the beta of the MMORPG, many players took the time to try out different characters. So it is not surprising that the enemy who was defeated most often comes from the starting area. The harpy has been defeated a total of 827,777 times. In the published statistics, the developers ask why everyone is bullying the fallen harpy.
Here you can see the trailer for Tarisland.
Why is the developer publishing the statistics? The statistics are certainly published for advertising purposes. With 142 years of playtime spread over all players, the two-week beta phase looks good. Impressive statistics in the beta include 1,200 defeated bosses per day and a total of 17,510 bosses in two weeks.
The most frequently defeated boss in Tarisland is an impressive old tree
Why has the boss been defeated the most? The so-called “Ancient Tree” is the raid boss of the level 40 raid in Tarisland. He was defeated so often because the old tree was the most appealing boss for max-level players. The raid was the most meaningful for level 40 players for nearly a week because it offered the best loot.
Are there player numbers as well? The Tarisland developers have not published direct player numbers, but they have provided information about the most played classes.
- “Ranger” is the most played class, it is the counterpart to the hunter from World of Warcraft and has been played 27,104 times
- “Phantom Necro” is the second most popular class and a kind of necromancer with damage and healing abilities. It has been played 26,790 times.
- Slightly behind with only 19,480 characters is the “Shadow Swordsman”, who is most similar to a rogue.
The class with the fewest players was the “Warrior”. The warrior class has only been played 10,970 times.
If we project the average player numbers of these 4 classes across all 10 classes, we arrive at about 210,000 characters that visited Tarisland during the beta.
What about lifeskills and professions? If you have always wondered whether players in MMORPGs really fish, the developers now have a number for you: Almost 8,000 hours have been spent fishing in Tarisland. What sounds like a lot at first only accounts for about 0.64 % of the total playtime.
In Tarisland, over 2.5 million minerals have been collected and over 2.3 million potions have been crafted, although potions were also available for silver in the shop. The most popular professions were blacksmithing, alchemy, and crafting.
Whether one can earn enough money with the professions to compete with players who equip themselves with real money in the shop is questionable. Asmongold recently went on a quest regarding the Pay2Win accusation against Tarisland and found something.
