How does the payment model of Tarisland work in detail? The MMORPG by Level Infinite and Tencent lures with free access (free-to-play), and you can actually experience all content of the launch version without spending money.
However, typically for free-to-play, the developers offer some optional paid offers aimed at generating revenue for the publisher:
- there is an in-game shop
- the real money currency, crystals
- a kind of battle pass
- an optional subscription

Crystals – the real money currency
You primarily need the crystals to purchase many of the offers from the in-game shop. Additionally, you can buy monthly tickets, weekly tickets, name changes, or silver coin supply chests for crystals.
Here are the costs for purchasing crystals via crystal refills:
- 60 crystals: 1.09 Euros
- 330 crystals: 5.49 Euros
- 700 crystals: 10.99 Euros
- 1,800 crystals: 29.99 Euros

Alternatively, you can also exchange so-called colorless crystals for in-game gold.

Market – the in-game shop of Tarisland
The market currently mainly offers cosmetic items such as weapon and armor skins, headgear, back accessories, auras, mounts, and pets. Prices vary from offer to offer. Both ground mounts, for example, cost 1,980 crystals each, equating to about 33.26 Euros each. The flying mounts cost 2,680 crystals each, which is about 44.25 Euros each.
Pets are cheaper. For the cute companions, you need to budget around 6.54 Euros to nearly ten Euros. Weapon skins also cost 6.54 Euros each. A special starter set for newcomers is said to be worth almost 50 Euros.
Additionally, in the market, you will find the area “Destiny’s Reward.” There, you can spend earned or purchased Prayer Stones to obtain silver or one of the cosmetic items from the current prize pool. If you win an item you already have, you will receive Fate Bows that can be exchanged for special mounts and sets.
What about the shop? In addition to the in-game shop, there is also a separate shop where you can primarily invest in in-game currencies like silver, rare medals, or glory awards. However, some popular items also cost crystals:
- Adventure Association Monthly Ticket: 450 crystals
- Adventure Association Weekly Ticket: 150 crystals
- Rename card for name change: 380 crystals
- Supply chest of silver coins with 100 silver and one Prayer Stone: 90 crystals
Weekly and Monthly Ticket – the subscription of Tarisland
In the market, you will find the “Monthly Ticket” tab, through which you can obtain Tarisland’s optional subscription. Unlike in the shop, the prices are listed in Euros:
- Weekly Ticket (7 days of subscription benefits): 2.09 Euros
- Monthly Ticket (30 days of subscription benefits): 5.49 Euros
- Half-year Ticket (180 days of subscription benefits): 30.99 Euros
When signing up for the first time, special goodies like gold or a skeleton raptor mount await.
What advantages does the subscription bring?
- There are more drops from the Tarisland chest.
- The reputation reward for the “Destiny’s Manual” is 40 percent higher.
- The battle pass EP from daily activities of the “Destiny’s Manual” is 30 percent higher.
- The tax rate in the trading center is reduced by eight percent.
- You can offer items for free in the trading center.
- The offering spaces in the trading center increase to ten.
- You can list three orders for sale in the trading center.
- You gain access to a portable warehouse.
- You can fish automatically.
- In the market, there is an advantage for purchasing the Stone of the Arcane Realm.
- For every 100 spent Elan, you receive ten Elan back.
Battle Pass – the Battle Pass of Tarisland
You will find the Battle Pass in the “Season” section (red banner), where you also access the “Destiny’s Manual” and your seasonal rank. Season 0 is called “Secrets of the Void,” and the associated Battle Pass is available in both a free and a paid version, each with 60 levels.
The paid version “Gift of Destiny” costs 24.99 Euros and provides you with
- cosmetic costumes, portraits, battle marks, gravestones, weapon skins
- various treasure chests
- 2,300 gold
- 8-slot backpack

What else should I know about Tarisland? Tarisland is a theme park MMORPG that focuses heavily on dungeons and raids and has been released for PC and mobile. There is no console version or controller support. A story campaign guides you through the leveling phase. In the game world, you will also find side quests and events.
There is crafting, solo challenges, an amusement park, and instanced PvP content. Also, note that at launch there is a daily increasing level cap, which means you cannot immediately reach the maximum level.
