From the outset, BioWare promised players of SWTOR a new companion if they maintain their subscription – but when will it finally arrive?
When will the promised companion be available?
BioWare has worked diligently to remind players that at a certain point (around GamesCom) they would need to present an in-game subscription to be able to recruit the new companion Nico Okarr into their team. Since then, it has gone quiet around the companion with the cool cape and the double pistol. However, players are slowly becoming restless and want to know: When will Nico Okarr join the group? When can they roam around with him and blast enemies into the far reaches of the galaxy?
The Community Manager Eric Musco has now spoken up in the forum and issued a statement in a few sentences: Okarr will only appear later in the storyline of Knights of the Fallen Empire. He will play a relevant role in the story and will then, once the conditions are met, join the group. This also confirms that the companion will not appear before the expansion. This also means it will be absolutely necessary to play through the storyline of KotFE to obtain Okarr – but since this is likely the greatest appeal for players, it shouldn’t be a major issue.
