The latest update for the Free2Play MMORPG SWTOR is coming today – and it gives the heroes of the galaxy no rest at all.
Today, a new patch for Star Wars: The Old Republic is being deployed. After the players have seized control of the galaxy as outsiders, it is crucial to maintain the status quo. However, it would be way too boring if all the villains simply went on vacation, so they are causing a ruckus: A total of 5 new uprisings await up to four players who want to take down those upstarts.
Sometimes they must take down a gang that wants to frame the outsider for an assassination, and at other times, a droid with an explosive personality needs to be escorted into the depths of a cave. As usual, this will be rewarded with additional experience points for the Galactic Command, which in turn offers strong rewards – such as equipment.
However, even though it seems at first glance that the new uprisings are merely busywork, there is a common, larger reason behind all the new content pieces. Players are encouraged to read the various codex entries about the uprisings, as some initial content will be hidden there, which will hint at what the future holds for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Aside from that, the new update also brings back the “usual suspects” – new content in the cartel shop, including a hefty cartel pack featuring new mounts, companions, and stylish armors.
Scheduled server maintenance will begin today, on 24.01.2016 at 14:00. If everything goes according to plan, the servers should be available again at 17:00.
A certain boss in SWTOR does not want to fight – he regularly commits suicide.
