In a blog post, BioWare’s General Manager explained that there are big plans for Star Wars: The Old Republic. An end seems to be not in sight.
In recent weeks and months, the MMORPG SWTOR has become quieter. While there are still small updates with mini content drops, like the recent new Huttball map, the great content flood is missing.
A bit of hope is now given by one of BioWare’s heads, General Manager Casey Hudson.
What was said? In a blog post, the “November Update,” Hudson also said a few words about SWTOR:
“And even as we prepare for new projects, our team on Star Wars: The Old Republic is hard at work delivering ongoing entertainment – they are developing new worlds and storylines that are among the most ambitious and exciting I have seen from the game so far.”
Community is skeptical: The community of Star Wars: The Old Republic is rather skeptical about these announcements. According to some players, the content flow has significantly decreased in recent months and the quality has also declined.
Many fans hope and wait for a brand new expansion, with a large cohesive story and a nice cinematic. An announcement about this is still pending, which worries the fans. At least the roadmap for fall 2018 is almost completed.
Hope for Mass Effect? But Hudson also gives hope to other franchises, such as Mass Effect. In the letter, he mentions that there are still plans for the future regarding Mass Effect. However, an announcement or concrete reveal of what that might be has not yet been made. So we must continue to wonder if the series has died with “Andromeda”.
