Players of SWTOR have every reason to be happy. Two expansions of the MMORPG will soon be available for free.
Players of Star Wars: The Old Republic are currently being offered a lot. In addition to new events from the last weeks and months, the restrictions for Free2Play players have recently been noticeably relaxed. Soon, the next surprise is coming for all those who are frugal and do not want to invest money in SWTOR.
It looks like SWTOR will soon give away two of its expansions.
Which expansions are we talking about? These are the first two major expansions that SWTOR received back then. One is “Rise of the Hutt Cartel,” which mainly revolves around the planet Makeb and a new fuel for warfare.
The second expansion is Shadow of Revan, which is about the mysterious Revan, who fans of the series may have known for a while. You will experience how he regains power in this expansion.
Both expansions will be free for all players with the launch of the new “Onslaught” expansion, regardless of whether they are subscribers, preferred status players, or Free2Play players.

Where does the information come from? The information was announced by the developers themselves during the stream, along with some images and concept art of the upcoming expansions. For those who want to watch the corresponding video, we have embedded it here:
In the past, SWTOR already carried out a similar promotion, where players could get these two expansions for free within a certain time period. Making the offer permanent seems to be the next logical step.
Is it worth it? In general, playing the two expansions is worthwhile as they have interesting stories. While Rise of the Hutt Cartel primarily focuses on the war between the Republic and the Empire, “Shadow of Revan” already drifts towards the Eternal Empire. Especially fans of the old “Knights of the Old Republic” games, for which a film is allegedly in planning, should play the expansions.
Are you excited about the new “Onslaught” expansion of SWTOR? Or are you not interested in the upcoming expansion at all?
