Patch 6.1 of SWTOR is now live. We reveal what’s in the new update “Summit of Power” and whether you really need an Alderaan apartment.
It has been several months since the release of the latest expansion of Star Wars: The Old Republic. But the story of “Onslaught” continues. After a delay, the first major patch was released today, on 02/13/2020, bringing the game to version 6.1. We guess what’s in the “Summit of Power” patch and whether you should really buy a new house on Alderaan.
SWTOR continues the story: After the war between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic was ignited and reached new heights in Onslaught, envoys from the Republic and the Empire arrive on Odessen to discuss their future plans.
Both factions want to revive one of their strongest elite units.
- On the Republic’s side, Jedi Master Gnost-Dural and General Daeruun are trying to rebuild the elite squad Nova to strengthen the Jedi Order once again.
- On the Empire’s side, there are meetings with Darth Rivix to re-establish the elite unit “The Hand.” This was the elite assault squad of the Empire and should be so again in the future.
SWTOR seems to be doing well – even EA was surprised by the revenues.
New estates on Alderaan: If you want to spend your time not in war, but in the finest of your own four walls, you can now buy a noble estate on Alderaan. It is somewhat hidden in the mountains but is a real eye-catcher. There are beautiful viewpoints over snow-covered fields, a large balcony over waterfalls, and even a hidden area that you must unlock (with explosives).
Anyone who buys a noble house on Alderaan should perhaps try to get rid of it within the next centuries. From confidential sources, we know that the population of Alderaan will drastically decrease in the future.
