Funcom is currently working on the “Stonehenge Occult Defence Scenario” for the online role-playing game The Secret World Legends. Initial tests show that players are thrilled with the new gameplay experience.
An online game must evolve and cannot stagnate for too long. The developers of The Secret World Legends know this and aim to introduce not only new missions, but also to bring some fresh wind with the “Stonehenge Occult Defence Scenario”.

A new defense scenario is coming
What is the new scenario about? “Stonehenge Occult Defence” is basically a survival mode. Unlike “Seek and Preserve”, this is not about saving NPCs. You should try to survive:
- You are in Stonehenge
- Waves of attackers try to destroy the stone circle
- Your task is to stop the enemies and keep the occult focus stable
- You must hold out as long as possible
- You can tackle the scenario either alone or with a partner
- The waves of enemies get stronger each time
What is so special about it? At first glance, this doesn’t sound like something fresh or new ideas. However, this scenario must be placed in the context of the game. In a story-driven online game like The Secret World Legends, this scenario is unusual and thus interesting.
Furthermore, the developers have also thought about how to make such a mode interesting by taking what has worked well in the game so far and leaving out what annoys players.
The “Stonehenge Occult Defence Scenario” is still in an early state and much is still being refined. For this reason, no release date has been set yet.
The fans are excited
How is the mode received by testers? Those who have been able to test the “Stonehenge Occult Defence Scenario” so far are reportedly quite enthusiastic according to the developers. Furthermore, there is a lot of positive feedback from players for this mode. The gameplay experience would change significantly due to the mode.
Many are already looking forward to trying out the scenario in the official forum. Of course, the developers will continue to consider and implement testers’ feedback to make the scenario fun and something special.
