Conan Exiles has released its first DLC for 2020: “Architects of Argos.” The new Mediterranean-themed content is announced with a stylish trailer and comes together with a cool, free feature for your slaves.
What is this DLC about? Architects of Argos revolves around the seafaring merchants of Argos, inspired by the ancient Greeks and Argonauts. This is the first DLC of 2020 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and the latest after the “Riders of Hyboria” pack in December 2019, which introduced mounts as features.
The associated trailer highlights epic music and showcases features like grand buildings and stylish armors in classic style. We have embedded the video for you here:
In addition to the DLC, a new and free update for companions is coming. With the new changes and the new DLC, Conan Exiles gives you a reason to check out one of the best survival games of 2020 again.
Mediterranean buildings and stylish armors
What’s included in the DLC: As always, the DLC is purely cosmetic and does not provide any gameplay advantages. All content merely changes the appearance of your building components and armors, but not their values and properties.
The style is inspired by ancient Greece and is roughly similar to that of the Aquilonians from the “Jewel of the West” DLC. In the now tenth DLC for Conan Exiles, there are:
- 49 new and exclusive building components
- 18 placeable items
- 3 new saddles for your mounts
- 15 armor pieces (three sets of five pieces: heavy, medium, and light)
- 9 weapons
What is the price of the DLC? Architects of Argos has been available since May 7, 2020, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, costing €9.99 on all platforms. Here you will find links to the shops:

- Steam: Architects of Argos for PC

New update improves your slaves
What is changing for slaves: Along with the DLC, a new, free patch for Conan Exiles is being released, bringing new features for your slaves. These go hand in hand with the massive March 2020 update, which introduced a management system for your slaves.
The “Followers II” update now allows you to issue direct commands to your companions and set behavioral rules. You can command them to protect you or a specific area or to attack enemies, as well as adjust the range at which they pursue foes.
The tactics setting gives you the option to determine whether your companions use melee or ranged attacks, thereby complementing your own play style. With a press of a button, you can even command them to attack, stop, or return to their position.
What is changing for mounts: Furthermore, the newly introduced mounts are no longer counted as companions. You can now ride and still have a slave as a combat companion.
To make it easier to capture new slaves, you can now drag unconscious enemies by chains behind your horse, to then bind them to the Wheel of Pain. You can find the complete patch notes in the official forum.
The initial reactions to the DLC and the update have been quite positive – on Steam, Architects of Argos has about 92% positive ratings, although only 14 reviews so far. In the forum, players are expressing their gratitude for the work done.
