The E3 2019 is in full swing and numerous pieces of information about Cyberpunk 2077 have been published. Besides a lot of information about the game, there was also the appearance of a special person. The actor Keanu Reeves came on stage and explained that he will be a part of Cyberpunk 2077.
Who is Keanu Reeves? Keanu Reeves is considered by many to be an icon in the sci-fi genre, as he has starred in many major films. Especially as Neo in the “Matrix” series, he was popular, but in more recent times, he has also thrilled audiences as John Wick.
What kind of role does Reeves play in Cyberpunk 2077? Which role exactly Keanu Reeves will play in Cyberpunk 2077 is still not clearly defined. However, he can be seen at the end of the latest trailer. There he informs the player that they “have to burn down a city.” It is therefore possible that his character takes on some sort of mentor role in Cyberpunk for the player – but this is still speculation.
Update June 10: We now know that Keanu Reeves plays the role of “Johnny Silverhand.” In character creation, players can choose him as a childhood hero for their own character V.
Why is Keanu Reeves involved? Keanu Reeves stated that the developers had approached him some time ago and asked if he wanted to be a part of Cyberpunk 2077. As a big sci-fi fan, he could not refuse. He will lend his voice (and appearance) to at least one character in Cyberpunk 2077.
