Your surroundings thus look different each time. You’ll encounter valuable resources to mine and swarms of alien monsters that you must eliminate.
But not only the monsters, you can also break your surroundings into pieces. Don’t like the path? Drill your own way to fulfill the mission. You can either head straight to your objective or take your time to explore the world.
You can play the game together with 3 other people. Teamwork is essential in Deep Rock Galactic, as surviving on the planet is difficult alone.
For selecting your dwarf avatar, you have 4 different classes with different focuses available:
- Gunner, slays the enemies
- Navigator, who scouts the world
- Driller, who drills through the rock
- Engineer, who builds structures
Equipped with different weapons, you head into the caves. Additionally, there are useful gadgets in the game that make the dwarves’ work easier. These include flamethrowers, Gatling guns, and platform turrets.
You start at rank 0 as the so-called “Greenbeards” and then climb the dwarf career ladder in the company with your completed missions.
