The gift expert A.K.I joins the fighters of Street Fighter 6 as DLC starting September 27. Now Capcom showcases the first gameplay in a trailer, thrilling the players.
What does the trailer show? With A.K.I, you get a real poison snake delivered: in the most positive sense. The new fighter moves acrobatically and with a snake-like grace through the trailer.
In combat, you can see how she slithers across the ground or bends in almost inhumane ways. She can easily wrap her opponents in her grasp, utilizing her whole body.
A.K.I’s main feature will be the poison mechanic, which she uses to poison the movements of her opponents, thereby gaining an advantage. Whether the poison only causes HP damage or also affects the Drive gauge and Super gauge is still unclear.
However, it is clear that A.K.I has incredible fun with her little poison stings. In the trailer, she shows her great joy over the effects of her poison, with almost exaggerated reactions that perfectly reflect the sadistic and psychopathic character hidden beneath her delicate exterior.
Her entire design contributes to the image of a poisonous snake. This is incredibly well received by players, as is clear from the comments (via Youtube):
- joelcadiz6876 writes: “They have captured the snake movements perfectly. It is so creepy and so cool […]”
- thegodofpez believes: “This is a hard-hitting character design.”
- kombatjenning writes: “I have never felt so scared and hypnotized by a character […]”
Ultimately, A.K.I also convinces with a fitting voice acting that gives the character the finishing touch. She manages to inject the right amount of madness into her voice without being over the top.
This nostalgic trailer will get you even more excited for the fight:
