The streamer TimTheTatman is known for his humorous deaths in various shooters. Now it’s Battlefield 2042 that takes its turn. There, he dies in an embarrassing way, so much so that even the official Twitter account trolls him about it.
What happened? In a stream of the beta for Battlefield 2042, TimTheTatman was just with his buddy in a fighter jet. Initially, he modified his weapon and got ready for the jump.
However, the jump went completely wrong for him. He failed to pull his parachute in time and slapped down onto the virtual asphalt like a wet sack. At first glance, a mistake anyone could make.
Who is he anyway? TimTheTatman was one of the biggest streamers on Twitch until his switch to YouTube. His career began with Fortnite, where he played alongside Ninja, among others.
But Tim, over 30 and a father, is more seen as a “nice streamer next door”, who is less performance-oriented and plays just for fun. He simply seems like a nice, “normal” guy who complains about his age and enjoys having fun while gaming.
Anyone who knows TimTheTatman already knows: He is always good for such slapstick moments and is known for embarrassing death moments in various games like CoD Warzone. Especially because of this trait and the way he can laugh at himself, he is very popular with his fans.
This was probably also known to the official Twitter account of Battlefield 2042. They grabbed Tim’s latest slapstick moment and tweeted the clip. It says: “Games change, but players remain the same.”

This is how the streamer reacts: His response to the tweet from the Battlefield account does not reveal what exactly the streamer thinks. He merely writes dryly: “Who runs this account?” (via Twitter). So it is unclear whether he is annoyed or finds it funny himself.
At least he is apparently surprised that the writer of the Battlefield Twitter account is familiar with these insider jokes.
What do the players say about it? They are having a great time with the reactions from the Twitter account and TimTheTatman. Additionally, there’s the almost traditional slapstick death of the streamer.

With the numerous possibilities of dying in Battlefield 2042, this is unlikely to be the last slapstick death of the streamer.
