The Twitch streamer Felix “xQc” Lengyel is known for not holding back. Especially when it comes to his personal opinion, he pulls out all the stops. Now it has hit the TwitchCon along with its visitors.
Who is the streamer?
- xQc is one of the largest streamers on Twitch with an average of around 62,000 viewers and nearly 11 million followers.
- He started as xQcOW, with “OW” being an abbreviation for the shooter Overwatch. He used to be a professional player but had to hang up his career because of several infractions due to multiple bans.
- Nowadays, Lengyel wastes thousands of euros in seconds by doing casino streams. He also shows how flexible he is and sometimes nibbles on his toe and fingernails.
- Recently, xQc made a tier list with the badges that are available on his Twitch channel for streamers, subscribers, and moderators. This is a small image that is visible in the chat in front of the username for all involved. Additionally, he talked about how those behind the badges behave according to him.

What did the streamer say? While creating the tier list, xQc looked through the chat logs of his viewers. He wanted to know if he interprets the behavior of the viewers with their respective chat badges correctly.
A chat log showed the question: “What about TwitchCon badges?”
To which xQc only replied: “Sickness.”
However, after a brief pause, he continued: “Buying a TwitchCon ticket is like buying an overpriced zoo ticket.”
But that was not all, as xQc elaborated further:
You watch the goblins online, so you probably want to see the goblins in real life up close. You just want to observe down-and-out species more closely. That’s sick!

Lengyel concluded that one must attend such events to feel that one’s life is more fulfilled. Sometimes one has to observe the down-and-out species to see what it’s like to be a complete failure.
What is a TwitchCon badge? Anyone who buys a ticket for the fair can get a badge that they can pick up at the TwitchCon on site. This also adorns the username in the chat.
What does the community say about this? In a reddit thread, you could read these statements:
- UrNotBetterThanMe says: “You buy a plane ticket, a hotel room, expensive damn food, and a purple badge just to see Mizkif eating a bowl of ramen and Ludwig dressed like Fred Jones from Scooby Doo.”
- Light_Ghost agrees with xQc: “I mean…yes, I can’t be mad about this opinion. Very true and real.”
- BW4LL sees it differently: “Holy shit, people are so biased and project so much onto others. What if you just wanted to travel to a new place to have good food and maybe meet friends, and the TwitchCon was just the trigger (…).”
The majority of users in xQc’s chat found the statements funny and even agreed with them. They spammed laughing emotes and “true”. Even on reddit, the overwhelming majority shared the same opinion as the streamer.
