The former eSports caster Jack “CouRage” Dunlop is a legend in Call of Duty. However, in recent weeks, he has completely immersed himself in New World and streams it almost daily on YouTube. Yet the wars for territories, which should actually be so much fun for him, are currently just causing frustration.
What is the problem? CouRage has expressed negativity regarding the wars in New World in several tweets. However, he does not mind the massive number of false reports that lead to bans, nor the lags caused by AoE attacks.
His problem lies primarily in the unbalanced factions. Because in New World three different groups fight against each other.
CouRage complains that the Syndicate faction on his server supposedly has four times the number of players. Meanwhile, there are 6 larger streamers fighting against him. This makes it impossible to wage a reasonable war against the Syndicate.
That’s why he now wants to send a tweet to the developers every day to remind them of the balance problem:
Is this really a problem? Yes, on almost all servers, either one faction dominates or two are fighting for supremacy, while the third faction is completely left behind. Currently, there is also no function that helps an inferior group, such as through buffs or cheaper declarations of war.
In fact, new players can even see which faction dominates on their server before they join a faction. This often leads to more players joining the “winning faction”.

A fourth faction is not a solution for CouRage
Where does CouRage currently see a solution? On Twitter, the streamer was asked what his approaches for a solution to the problem would be and whether a fourth faction would help.
CouRage denied this and instead suggested that there should be a maximum number of players who can do PvP quests for a faction while being in an arena. This would at least make declaring war easier.
Another possibility would be that the costs for attackers increase the more often they unsuccessfully attack the same territory. This would reduce the attacks themselves. Additionally, a portion of the costs incurred by attackers should go to the defenders to reward them more.

Who is CouRage anyway? Jack “CouRage” Dunlop is a 27-year-old American who started his career as an intern at Major League Gaming.
Later, he moved to Activision Blizzard and became a host and commentator for the professional league of Call of Duty. He is now an active streamer on YouTube and has over 3 million subscribers there. He is also part of the clan “100 Thieves”.
How active does he play New World? Since the release, CouRage has already streamed New World on 13 days – sometimes for up to 12 hours straight. On October 13th, he reached the max level 60 and has since experienced the highest dungeons, invasions, and some wars.
On Twitter, CouRage shared that he would love to play New World for 16 hours a day.
