A crazy glitch allows players to use their old characters in the new season realm of Diablo 4. However, you should probably not try that.
The action RPG Diablo 4 regularly brings new seasons with fresh mechanics that are meant to be approached with a similarly fresh character. When starting in the season realm, you have neither gold nor equipment. However, you can level up the battle pass and experience the new story.
The old characters remain in the so-called eternal realm. At least, that’s how it should be.
A glitch now allows players to use their characters from the eternal realm in the season realm as well. However, this is not advisable.

The trick with the internet cable
How does it work? We will refrain from a detailed description of the glitch here. Just this much: You can join a friend in the season realm with an old character, and if you unplug the internet cable at the right moment, the old character appears in the new season.
You can even transfer equipment to the season character, as the characters share one of the chest segments. Yes, just one segment – why that is, remains unclear.
Why shouldn’t you do that? It is a nasty glitch that outsmarts the system infrastructure and provides advantages for season characters and in the battle pass.
There have been no reports of bans so far, but the error appears so nasty that developer Blizzard could ban players who benefit from it.
By the way, items can also be pulled from the season realm to the eternal realm. However, the season mechanic, meaning the malevolent hearts, does not work here.
