With the Forsaken expansion, Destiny 2 becomes gigantic. According to official sources, a proud 104 GB of storage space is required to download and install the complete game along with the autumn add-on.

The storage space requirement for games is steadily increasing and is now reaching absurd sizes – even on consoles. The current console generation, especially the PS4 and Xbox One, has pushed these numbers further.
The average storage requirement for larger titles is around 50-70 GB. However, numerous games have a significantly larger appetite for storage. Battlefield 4 occupies about 71 GB with all add-ons, Elder Scrolls Online uses approximately 86 GB of storage, and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare already approaches 95 GB in storage requirements.
But Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 takes it a step further: With all expansions, the game needs more than 100 GB on a PS4 hard drive. With a 500 GB hard drive, you quickly reach your limits – especially if you have more than three or four games on the drive.
Now, Destiny 2 also joins with an even higher mammoth requirement.

Wow, Forsaken requires quite a bit of space on your hard drive
The official PlayStation Store lists the required free storage space for Destiny 2: Forsaken at a monstrous 104 GB, should you want to download and install the complete package.

This size indication does not necessarily correspond to the actual final size on your console’s hard drive – after download and installation, the value of the ultimately used storage could be significantly lower. This is because data packages often need to be unpacked completely or partially after downloading, making the installation space required often larger than the actual storage used afterward.
However, just to download the complete digital Forsaken package, some players will probably have to sacrifice one or the other beloved game on their hard drive to accommodate this mammoth – even if it ultimately occupies less than 104 GB on the hard drive. A size of approximately 85 GB would, however, be quite conceivable.
One can only hope that the required storage space is truly worth it and that one does not end up regretting the sacrifices made afterwards. We should know for sure by September 4, 2018, when Destiny 2: Forsaken is released.
How about you? Do you also have to clear some space on your hard drive because you want to download the complete package?
