The jungle event is currently taking place in Pokémon GO, where you can spin special field research at the PokéStops. One of them you should preferably not claim yet. We will explain why and tell you when is the best time for that.
What kind of tasks are involved? By spinning at PokéStops, you receive field research tasks in Pokémon GO that you can complete. As a reward, you will receive items or a Pokémon. On the occasion of events, in addition to the regular field research, you can also find special quests that match the event.
These are always only available for the respective event period. Since the jungle event “Secrets of the Jungle” is currently taking place, there are again 6 special tasks.
That’s why you should wait to claim the egg quest
One of the 6 special quests for the jungle event is the task “Hatch 2 Eggs”. As a reward, you will then receive the normal Pokémon Audino.
What is special about Audino? Audino belongs to the 22 Pokémon with a special stardust bonus in the game. Depending on the weather conditions and the use of a star piece, you’ll receive the following stardust when catching this Pokémon:

You will receive the weather boost if it is partly cloudy when catching in the game. By using a star piece, you will also receive 50% more stardust for 30 minutes.
But why should you wait to claim? On Saturday, October 9, 2021, the Community Day with Swablu will take place from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On this occasion, you will receive triple stardust as a special bonus when catching Pokémon.
For this reason, you should claim your quest with Audino only on that day. This is your opportunity to farm a lot of stardust. It is best to already accumulate several of these tasks beforehand. Furthermore, it definitely makes sense to activate a star piece.
This way, you can farm up to 7,875 stardust per caught Audino. But even without a star piece, you will receive 6,300 stardust for Audino during Community Day.
How does it work with claiming later? Normally, you can collect a maximum of 3 field researches in your list to process at the same time. However, to collect multiple Audino for Community Day, there is a trick. First, you complete the task as usual and claim it.
But be careful! You must not encounter the Pokémon yet, but click on a later encounter when prompted. This way, a bar will appear above the tasks where you can claim your Pokémon that you have not yet picked up from the reward.
You will then do this on Saturday. Thus, you have the opportunity to catch multiple Audino in succession. Since you have basically claimed the task and only the encounter has not yet occurred, the quest is considered completed and you can receive new field research.
Is Audino worth it?
Audino is a Normal-type Pokémon from the 5th generation. It has neither a pre-evolution nor an evolution. However, in other Pokémon games, it has a Mega Evolution. This is not yet available in Pokémon GO. However, it is obtainable in its shiny form in the game. You can recognize it by the purple decoration on its arms and head.
However, Audino is not among the strongest Pokémon. It has a low attack value, and its defense is rather average. According to PvPoke, it is therefore not suitable for use in the GO Battle League (via pvpoke.com). And in raids, you should rather rely on other, better candidates.
