The guilds in the new MMORPG New World are called Companies and function a little differently than you might be used to. But how do you find the Company that suits you? We at MeinMMO will help you with that.
What are the requirements? To join a guild or Company in New World, no special minimum level is required. Once you have joined one of the three factions, you can also join a Company. However, it is important that you play on the same server as the Company you want to join.
Your faction also plays a role. A Company always belongs to a faction, namely the one to which the founder of the Company belongs. Accordingly, you can only join a Company that belongs to the same faction as you.
You can change your faction every 120 days. If you do so, you must also leave your Company. It is not possible to be a Marauder in a Company of the Syndicate, to give an example.
How do you join a Company? You can simply be invited to a Company through the Social menu. This happens quite often when walking through a city. However, it is rarely advisable to join just any Company, even if it brings advantages.
In principle, you can search for several Companies through the Company menu on G and then also join them through the same menu. However, it is unclear whether that guild actually suits you. Of course, you can still join a Company first to take advantage of its benefits.
What advantages does a Company bring? In addition to the advantages that a guild has in every MMORPG, namely having players who can support you, you also have additional bonuses through your Company in New World.
These are especially useful if your Company owns a settlement. Then you benefit from cheaper fast travel costs, lower taxes, and more efficient crafting. However, the special advantages of the respective settlements can already be utilized if you only belong to the same faction.
Which Company suits me?
What should you pay attention to? In New World there are various play styles, and it is sensible to find a guild that has similar interests to yours. It does little good if you are a PvE player and collector and then join a Company that focuses on PvP.
Often, multiple guilds also work together and thus form a larger community. Then one Company is responsible for PvP and defense while another provides the materials.
Where can you search? In addition to the chat in the game and the Company menu on G, there are also various possibilities outside the game to search for a Company and find one that fits you:
- For one, there is the MeinMMO Discord, which has its own section for New World where guild searching is a topic.
- The site newworldfans.com also offers an active platform dedicated to Company searching.
- The reddit r/NewWorldCompanies is also solely for finding the guild that suits you.
- If you are looking for a completely German Company, the German newworld-forum is a good point of contact for you.
- You can also find German Companies at the colleagues from GameStar, where some guilds have presented themselves that you can join.
- Lastly, there is also a German New World Discord (via Discord) with about 6,000 members, where you can also find a Company.
