These games we present to you: In this article, we introduce exciting new releases that are currently on sale on Steam. We base our selection on the number of positive reviews. Personal preferences also play a role in which new games on Steam we chose.
As a release period, we limit ourselves to games that have been released since December 2018. We primarily focus on multiplayer titles.

Far Cry: New Dawn
What is it about? New Dawn is the latest title in the Far Cry series and a direct sequel to the events of Far Cry 5. It takes place 17 years after the nuclear bomb strikes of FC5, heading into the post-apocalypse. This time, you must face a new group led by the evil twins Mickey and Lou.
In typical Far Cry fashion, things get a bit crazy. Weapons that shoot saw blades are included.
Is there multiplayer? In New Dawn, you can play the campaign in cooperative mode. There is no multiplayer mode.
Who is Far Cry New Dawn suitable for? If you enjoyed the story of Far Cry 5 and want to dive back into this familiar environment, then go for it. New Dawn is not a completely new game; it is a spin-off of FC5. If you like big weapons like flamethrowers and enjoy games that don’t take themselves too seriously, this is the right fit.

Tropico 6
What is it about? In this construction strategy game, you must take care of an entire group of islands rather than just a single island. There, you build buildings, productions, and start research. New in this part of the series are tunnels that you can build alongside mighty bridges. With taxis, buses, and cable cars, your residents then travel across the islands.
This strategy is paired with the humor for which the game series is known.

Who is Tropico 6 suitable for? For fans of building games who like to build areas in long sessions, the game is well suited. If other building games feel too dry, the humor of Tropico 6 could provide a welcome change.

Total War: Three Kingdoms
What is it about? This strategy game is based on the time of the Three Kingdoms in China. In the turn-based campaign, you experience the establishment of the empire, statecraft, and conquests. You have the choice between 12 legendary warlords. Recruit those who fit your strategy and decide whether to engage in betrayal and intrigue or forge brotherly alliances.
Is there multiplayer? Yes. There is a 2-player campaign and custom games in multiplayer.
Who is Total War: Three Kingdoms suitable for? Those who have missed depth in diplomacy in previous Total War titles will find satisfaction in Three Kingdoms. If you want to rely on negotiation skills and planning besides military in a strategy game, you will be well catered to here.

Astroneer
What is it about? In this exploration game, take on the role of an astronaut who explores alien worlds. The game takes place in the 25th century and holds some surprises for you.
Aboveground and underground, you build your bases. You have the option to create your own vehicles to cruise across the worlds. Your terraforming tool, which can dig, collect, shape, and build, is always with you. When you feel ready, you embark on a quest for mysterious power to use for your purpose.

Mortal Kombat 11
What is it about? In this brutal 2.5D fighting game, you’ll really be smashing heads. You use combo attacks from your fighters or rely on items from the world like chainsaws. Fighters can be upgraded with armor and weapons to become even stronger.
You will be faced with a story where you take on various characters. Challenges like the Towers of Time let you face groups of opponents, and afterwards, bosses.
Is there multiplayer? Yes, in multiplayer mode you can compete against other players. In the Towers of Time, there is a way to play with another player as a form of cooperative play.
Who is Mortal Kombat 11 suitable for? Players who love 2.5D games and appreciate brutality will feel at home here. The exaggeratedly violent fatalities are sure to get the hearts of action fans racing.
The reviews on Steam: Out of over 7,000 reviews, 59% are positive, giving the game a “Mixed” rating. We have this game on the list because the gameplay receives high praise. There are great animations and fluid gameplay.
However, it is often criticized for the high grind requirements. The characters aren’t really balanced, and the online mode has issues with lag. However, the most frequent criticisms are the grinding and microtransactions.
DayZ
What is it about? If you like survival games, you will have heard the name DayZ often. The title has been in early access since 2013. You play as a survivor of a zombie apocalypse in a large, fictional Russian setting.
On the map, you search for resources and materials to build weapons or shelters. Your opponents are AI-controlled zombies and dangerous animals, but also other players. You never know whom you can trust. However, if you have developed trust in someone, you can team up against the rest.
DayZ went into full release on December 13, 2018. Consider it a small bonus on this list.

Who is DayZ suitable for? Those who enjoy survival adventures in a large sandbox should check this out. It is also interesting for hunters and players who like to engage in crafting.
The reviews on Steam: Out of over 167,200 reviews, 61% are positive. This gives DayZ a “Mixed” rating on Steam. It is praised that the survival setting often leads to surprising and new situations with other players. Visible animations of injured players, who then limp, are also praised.
However, sudden bugs that spoil the gaming experience are frequently criticized. Players say that DayZ has so many bugs that it feels “unfinished”.
