The developers of the survival game The Day Before announce a beta so you can test the controversial game before its release.
What kind of game is it? The Day Before is a survival game where you fight for survival during a zombie apocalypse. A gameplay video showed shooter elements early on, and the video generated a hype for the game.
According to the developers, PvP will also be an important part of the game.
Why do some believe The Day Before is a scam? Some players do not believe that the game “The Day Before” actually exists. A series of developments led to this assumption.
The survival game has been postponed several times after it was originally supposed to be released in June 2022. It even disappeared from Steam.
Recently, the release date changed from March 1 to November 10, 2023, because the game is struggling with allegations of copyright infringement. The developer studio Fntastic behind The Day Before does not even own the name rights, which belong to a calendar app.
Even the recent gameplay trailer could not ease the allegations. The shown scenes disappointed and looked much less interesting than the first trailer. Players referred to The Day Before as a “walking simulator”.

Developers announce beta to clear doubts
What do the developers say now? On the official Discord server of the game, the developers have now commented on the release of the game. In a post from April 18, it says the title will be released on November 10 without further delays.
There is also supposed to be a beta test to give players the opportunity to test the game before its release. Further information about the beta test will follow at a later time (via Discord).
Whether there will actually be a beta test and whether it can calm the current doubts of the players remains to be seen.
