In a new trailer, DRAGON BALL: Sparking! Zero, which will soon be released on Steam, showcases the two characters Son-Goku and Vegeta in their various forms in a legendary battle.
What kind of game is this? DRAGON BALL: Sparking! Zero is the next installment in the Budokai Tenkaichi series, the popular and long-standing fighting game series in the Dragon Ball universe. It is expected to be released later this year for the PS5, Xbox, and on Steam.
In the game, you can expect a plethora of playable characters known from the anime and manga. While there isn’t an official list yet, the trailer gives a first glimpse of familiar faces like Frieza, Piccolo, C17, or Krillin.

What to expect from Goku and Vegeta: In the trailer, you’ll witness massive action in a fight between Son-Goku and his rival Vegeta. Here, you can catch a glimpse of the combat gameplay, various attacks, and different maps created in Unreal Engine 5.
The trailer also showcases the various Gokus and Vegetas that you can play in DRAGON BALL: Sparking! Zero. The two protagonists each have 24 different forms available to them. Our colleagues at GamePro have listed them out in detail.
In the trailer, you can already get a first impression of the various abilities of the possible versions of Goku and Vegeta. For example, you’ll see how Vegeta in his Weraffen form can smash the entire map or how both characters unleash their full power in their different Super Saiyan forms.
Most importantly, the trailer promises the action that you are accustomed to from previous installments of the series. Many effects that usually do not clutter the scene provide exactly what fans of games in the Dragon Ball universe hope for.
