Hades 2 already breaks the player record of Hades on the first day after its Early Access release on Steam – and by a significant margin.
What kind of game is it actually?
- Hades is a roguelike from the indie developer studio Supergiant Games that was released in 2020 and became a huge success.
- You embody Zagreus, the son of Hades, and try to escape from the Underworld.
- You gain various abilities and fight your way through numerous rooms filled with nasty enemies. The regular boss fights can be particularly challenging.
Since Hades was extremely well received by players and is still 98% positive with a strong 231,000 reviews on Steam, Supergiant Games decided to create a sequel: Hades 2, which surprisingly launched into Early Access on May 6.
Hades 2 continues the events of its predecessor but does not let you play as the son of Hades this time; instead, you control his younger sister Melinoë. Moreover, your goal is not to escape from the Underworld, but to reclaim your father’s realm from the Titan Chronos.
