Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore is currently in an open beta and allows you to test the new survival MMO with pure PvE for a week. MeinMMO editor Maik played a round with the creative director Hauke Gerdes and talked about innovations.
What is there to see here? Starting from July 18, 2023, Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore will go into early access. Before that, you can take a look at the game as part of the “Steam Fest”, which takes a unique approach to its survival concept.
There is no PvP like in most major representatives of the genre. ARK, Conan Exiles, or Rust offer a lot of PvE, but you often notice that the focus is to some extent on PvP.
Coreborn takes a different path: pure PvE. A survival game with a strong focus on the social components of gaming – without forcing you to interact with unknown players.
It should be good to meet another player. You get double wood from a tree, you can help each other in battles, and if you need a base in the mountains for your grind excursions, you can ask the local town if they will take you in.
For an in-depth look into the game and the vision behind Coreborn: Nations of the Ultracore, check out our videos featuring the interview with Hauke Gerdes. You will see a lot of the world, get insights into the gameplay, and Hauke explains innovations compared to previous tests.
The complete interview is divided into three parts:

- City attacks, NPCs, and weapon crafting
